Many Twice fans and Somi fans are wondering if Somi will join Twice after IOI disbands or will she debut as a soloist first then join a new JYP girl group.

According to a Yibada article, Somi has to join Twice after IOI finishes their activities. However, it is completely stupid for JYP Entertainment to that thing.

There are many instances where Somi joined Twice on the stage especially during their encore performances during their winning moments "Cheer Up" era. Fans think it is cute and that she should join Twice.

However, as the saying goes, "don't fix if it is not broke," JYP Entertainment should not add a member to Twice since they are perfect as they are now. They do not need Somi's fan power and public recognition because Twice has all of it now.

Somi is a brand on her own. She has her fan base, and it would be a total and utter waste if she will just join Twice and not start a new army of fans with a new girl group.

I, myself, thinks Somi deserve to be in a new group. The program "Sixteen" will be useless and completely stupid if she will join Twice in the end. All her hardships after the show, the tears she shed and the feeling after her name not being called will be useless.

Though she does fit well with Twice, it is futile if she will join Twice. However, sometimes, I do wonder if Somi and the Twice members want that to happen. I do wonder if they would want Somi to be in their group or if Somi wants to join them.

I think JYP Entertainment should just let Somi do CFs and variety shows before making a new girl group. Maybe she and Chungha can make a duo first them the rest will follow.
