Park Hae-Jin plays a prisoner in new JTBC drama 'Man to Man'
Actor Park Hae-Jin will be back to TV drama with the new thriller "Man to Man" from JTBC. The station has released teaser image of him wearing orange jumpsuit showing him as a prisoner. He will become the main character with Park Sung-Woong.
In the official release from JTBC, the TV station revealed still images from the shooting location in Hungary. The images show the main character Kim Sung-Woo, a secret agent who was captured and imprisoned in Hungary. Hae-Jin is cast as the main character Sung-Woo.
The shooting for the prison scene was taken in November, and the crew members admitted the condition on location was harsh as it's reported by Korea Daily as a location of a previous accident. They are grateful the shooting went well without any accident.
JTBC is scheduled to air "Man to Man" in the first half of 2017, but the exact airing date has not been disclosed. Meanwhile, the drama has gained huge attention from the overseas market, including China. The drama is written by the co-writer of the most popular drama "Descendants of the Suns" Kim Won-Suk as his fourth drama project.
"Man to Man" follows the story of a popular actor played by Sung-Woon and his bodyguard Sung-Woo, a former NIS agent. The story is a thriller and espionage drama with romance as the side story. The drama is expected to attract much attention from viewers in Korea and international.
Moreover, the Hae-Jin who is cast as Sung-Woo has big international fan base. He was first recognized as a co-star in the 2014 popular drama "My Love from the Star" playing the supporting role.
His breakthrough to gain international recognition was gained following the tvN drama "Cheese in the Trap" in 2016 which he played as a main character Yoo-Jung. The drama is adapted from the popular webtoon and his personification as Yoo-Jung has made fans of the webtoon to like him.
