The ratings of “Romantic Doctor Teacher Kim” in TnMS have been steady to around 20 percent ratings and only KBS daily drama “The Shining Eun-Soo” that can exceed its ratings with 23 percent. While in AGB Nielsen Korea, its ratings topped the chart.

SBS drama “Romantic Doctor Teacher Kim” sit in the first position of the AGB Nielsen ratings with 22.6 percent. That figure indicates that approximately, 3 million people in Korea watch the drama.

The success of the drama has been long predicted. Since the drama began its production, “Romantic Doctor Teacher Kim” has been promoted as the comeback of the highly acclaimed actor Han Suk-Kyu to the TV drama after two years. Combined with the extensive research by production team who determine to make the drama as realistic as possible in its surgical procedure

Furthermore, the co-operation between scriptwriter Kang Eun-Kyung and director Yoo In-Sik has made the storytelling to flow beautifully. Kang was the winner of Best Screenplay in the 2014 KBS Drama Awards for her work in "What Happens to My Family?"

Yoo is director who supervise production of the successful 2014 SBS police comedy drama “You're All Surrounded.” Yoo is the SBS designated program director (PD) who dedicated his work completely for SBS during his 12 years of career.
