Jennifer Lopez Buys Mansion For $10 Million

Jennifer Lopez has definitely left her old block in the Bronx, if her new mansion in the Hamptons is any indication.

Lopez' mansion reportedly cost her $10 million, which previously demanded $425,000 as a summer rental, according to the New York Post.

According to Yahoo, the singer and actress, who brought in $52 million last year and is ranked above Oprah on Forbes' Most Powerful List -    picked out a mansion that is situated on its own cul-de-sac. It is a classic estate made up of two lots, with room for plenty of celebrity musts, like guest houses and tennis courts.

Lopez reportedly likes the 8,659-square-foot mansion because it's in such a private, secluded area in the town of Water Mill, near Mecox Bay. She, her twins, and her boyfriend Caspar Smart visited the mansion several times before she decided to fork over $10 million.

Built in 2004, the 8-bed, 4.5-bath sits on landscaped grounds including a large pool, patio area and plenty of hedges to keep paparrazi at bay, according to Yahoo.

The entertainer still owns an enormous spread in Hidden Hills that she purchased with her ex-husband, Mark Anthony in 2010, as well as two homes in Glen Head, N.Y. The star previously owned a waterfront estate in Miami Beach and another home in Beverly Hills.

Coincidentally, Anthony also bought a home this week - but on the other coast. His new home is in Encino, CA and he spent about $2.5 million on it.

She was also looking at another house down the street, but another buyer snapped it up for $15 million last year. "This is a better deal," an insider said. "It's a better property and it is more private. It's an amazing, great buy."
