Tao Wins Case; SM Entertainment drafts to appeal

In yet another lawsuit that Tao (formerly EXO boyband member) has been battling with his previous handler SM Entertainment, a new development has surfaced.

The Chinese court has dismissed SM Entertainment's claim, forbidding the artist to use his name and photos while continuing projects in China. This being so, Tao can go on as an artist using his own image as he did while he was still with the Exo Boyband.

SM entertainment, however, declared that they will file an appeal versus the dismissal filed in the courts of China according to yibada.
Earlier, the artist's former managers were granted monetary payback as a consequence of the artist's departure and performing "like" an EXO talent while he took musical schedules in China.

Presently, he has acquired performance offers and more involvement in the realm of Chinese music industry.

Tao or Huang Zitao in real life was born and raised in China. At a young age, he traveled to Korea.
He went on a lot of auditions until SM spotted him as a talent. Rigid rehearsals with the hope that he will debut within a year followed his discovery.

The expectation of a delayed debut didn't happen since he premièred as an artist earlier than he expected. While he wished he would have trained more, it didn't really matter.

EXO performed as a group so fans looked at them as a whole not as individual performers, per interview by OfficiallyMusicK. The discussion also stated how Tao perceived his involvement in the EXO group as an artist.

He had complained of unfair treatment by making him perform even when he had injured ligaments. In addition, he maintained that much as he would desire for the group to be intact, he merely can't work the same way he had acted with the team before.
