Sulli Figures in Yet Another Controversy: Lolita tag sparks anew

In a recent Instagram post on Sulli's account, the artist was quoted saying "Lolita, lolita, don't go overboard. Leave insults somewhere more appropriate and just look at my pretty face instead." This issued as the Kpop artist figured in yet another controversy.

On her social media account, she propped a photo of her wearing an oversized sweatshirt, her face showing in what appeared to be the hole of the oversized hoodie. per Soompi .

As expected, this made netizens aflame with the Lolita tag she has been stigmatized in recent months. The netizens reactions follow a string of sexual Lolita accusations ranging from a photo she posted in August 2016- she wandering on a green field in matching black- gray sweatshirt and pants obviously bearing no bra on.

Still, another is a photo she doorposts with her friend Hara-chii in a shirt with bodies fused together as they look at Rota ( a famous photographer) taking their photos. Both flaunt their bodies wrapped in a big shirt.Their silhouettes explicitly showing no clothes on.

A bigger brouhaha, however, attaches to her relationship with her current boyfriend Choi. Her ties with him had spurned so many controversies that made her adjunct Lolita label from among the netizens.

But what makes such postings so disturbing from among the pop followers? Packaging and concept promotional ideas are part of building idols and artists in Korean k-pop culture.

This makes or breaks an artist in his bid for stardom. Early in the path is an image that will be well guarded so that he or she will sell among followers. The fans who get sold to the artist will spend a lot of money backing her appearances, performances movies, and tv shows.

Sulli was packaged as a young innocent beautiful girl at age 11 according to revolvy. She charmed her followers as Princess in Ballad of Seodong. This was succeeded by an acting part in Love Needs a Miracle.

As the years went on, she eventually graduated to more drama roles similar to To the Beautiful You. This eventually earned her roles in the movies like The Pirates and Fashion King. Quickly she got raves in the Korean-zombie flicker Train to Busan. It grossed 99.32 $ million at the box office on its release in July 2016.

Now age 22, she is still perceived as the young eleven-year-old girl who had a debut as a princess in many dramas. That image does not seem to outgrow before her fans.

They have seen Sulli with the innocent face so contrasting to  the present image of one fully mature actress, singer and fashion model. She has apparently been trying to drop that innocent image by her recent Instagram posts.

At this time, she is in the works for movie acting where she has gained a lot of offers despite many declares she doesn't really display much skill on it. Furthermore, Sulli has been taken off her all-girl group f(x) and is now embarking on an acting career managed by the same company, SM entertainment.
