After the official disbandment of Cube Entertainment's 4 Minute last year, Sohyun shared her thoughts on working alone.

In a recent article by All Kpop, one of Sohyun's prime projects this year is a variety program. Sohyun shared that she liked the idea of being in a variety program especially that the theme of the said program will be vacation and travel. She also further emphasized that unlike being in an idol group who only performs on music shows. A variety program allows her to show her hidden side where she can honestly share her thoughts.

Apart from her variety show, Sohyun also plans to venture into the world of K-dramas. Asia Starz revealed that Sohyun is pretty excited into becoming an actress but at the same time, she is still pretty confused on how to handle being an actress. She's still curious whether she'll maintain or leave her 4 Minute image.

In line with her interest in acting, Sohyun further shared that she wanted to break the stigma among idol turned actors. She knew some of those who are really doing great in acting like ZE:A's Siwan, SNSD's Yoona and 2PM's Taecyeon.

Her newest label, 935 Entertainment, believes that Sohyun will really do good as an actress as she is already an actress during her childhood days. Moreover, Sohyun also shared that when given the chance to star in a drama, she wanted to try a medical drama as she is a fan of "Romantic Doctor, Teacher Kim".

Sohyun also revealed some of her current interests including photography. The former 4 Minute member imparted that she's fond of buying disposable cameras when she travels and she can't hide her fascination of the view. So, she always makes sure to capture every moment. Further, Sohyun also shared that she's also interested in interior designing and that she spends her leisure time usually in internet cafés with friends.
