Homeland star Morena Baccarin is pregnant with her first child. Baccarin will be having a baby with her husband - writer and director Austin Chick. Morena Baccarin's representatives confirmed that the actress is pregnant to People magazine.

33-year-old Morena Baccarin is best known for playing Jessica Brody on hit Showtime series Homeland. Baccarin plays the wife of main character Nick Brody (Damian Lewis). Homeland is currently filming its third season, which is expected to air in September.

Morena Baccarin hasn't spoken publicly about her pregnancy yet; she didn't mention it to the press when she attended a Vogue and MAC Cosmetics dinner in West Hollywood on Monday, May 13.

Although Baccarin's on-screen marriage to Nick Brody is in pieces after the show's second season, her real-life marriage to Chick is "solid". She joked to the Daily Mail, "You have to talk...a lot. Which guys love.

"You have to keep checking in, being aware of what is happening in each other's worlds. Otherwise, you miss things, and then it becomes very hard to go back and connect the dots. But you also need to know that the connection is there."

The Daily Mail noted that Claire Danes, Baccarin's Homeland co-star, is probably happy for the first-time mother. Claire Danes filmed the second season of Homeland while pregnant, and gave birth to her son, Cyrus, five months ago.

Morena Baccarin previously appeared in television sci-fi show V and cult-classic Firefly.
