Korean Public Music Awards announced the award nominees on January 18. Among the nominees four out of five selected were idols under the ‘Best Dance & Electronic Song’ category. The songs selected are 2NE1’s “I Am The Best,” f(x)’s “Pinocchio,” Infinite’s “Be Mine” and T-ara’s “Roly Poly.”

Groups like 2NE1 and f(x) have been selected for the second time under this category after being selected last year.

Korean Public Music Awards representative shared, “They live up to their titles as idols at the forefront of the ‘hallyu’ wave, producing dance music that is energetic and have a sense of completion.”

‘Best Rap & Hip Hop’ nomination went to GD&TOP, as well as f(x) that brought the attention of many, while IU’s “Good Day” impressively listed under three different categories such as ‘Best Pop Song,’ ‘Best Album’ and ‘Song of the Year.’

The 9^th Annual Korean Public Music Awards will be held at AX-KOREA on February 29.
