‘Hwarang’ Episode 8 Focuses on A-Ro; Go-Ara Performance Was Praised

“Hwarang: Poet Warrior Youth” Episode 8 focused the story on the female lead character A-Ro. While the relationship between the members of the group has showed a significant improvement. But the ratings of drama are still under 10 percent mark.

A-Ro becomes the focus of the 8th episode of the drama. She was pictured to miss her family and burst into tears while the complicated love triangle between her, Sun-Woo and the young Ji-Dwi become start to brew. Go-Ara’s acting as A-Ro has received special mention from KBS.

Meanwhile the bonding between the six young men has shown a significant improvement. Under the supervision of Kim Wi-Hwa who personally selected and trained the member of the first elite group in the kingdom of Silla, they slowly united as a group.

Meanwhile, special mention for episode 8 goes to Go who was praised for her acting, as the drama enter the half of its total episodes. She showed a confusion whether to treat Sun-woo as her long lost brother or a man whom she could fall in love with. She was pondering about her feeling for him which could not happen if Sun-Woo is her real brother

A twist was revealed in the end of the episode as A-Ro found out from Woo-Reuk that Sun-Woo is not her brother. Woo-Reuk is the foster father of both Sun-Woo and Mak-Moon her real brother who died at the hand of the palace guard because he saw the king’s face. As she found out about the truth, she came to find Sun-Woo and with tears in her eyes, she asked him who he really is.

Her acting to questioned Sun-Woo was specially noted by Seoul Daily News. The revelation of Sun-Woo to reveal the tragedy that happen to A-Ro’s real brother will become the highlight of Episode 9 which is to be aired on Monday Jan. 16.
