Girls’ Generation Member Seohyun Releases First Album ‘Don’t Say No’
The youngest member of Girls’ Generation Seohyun releases her album on Tuesday Jan. 17. Her mini album consists of seven songs with title track “Don’t Say No.”
In the official release, her agency SM Entertainment said that the album is available starting 12:00 pm on Jan. 17 through all music channels from Melon, Ginny, Naver Music and also iTunes. Music video of her title track “Don’t Say No” is also released through YouTube channel. Prior to the release of the mini album, the agency also released several teaser images to showcase her transformation as a mature singer.
In the press conference at the SM Town Theater in Samseong-Dong, in Gangnam area, Seoul on Jan.16, she revealed that she also wrote lyrics to her single as reported by Yonhap News Agency. She also said that she couldn’t believe that it has been 10 years since her first debut as member of Girls’ Generation.
As one of the main singer in the Girls’ Generation, along with two other members Taeyeon and Tiffany, she joined a new sub-group of the Girls’ Generation called TTS or TaeTiSeo. The name was acronym of their name respectively. They have released three EPs, since debuted in 2012 with“Twinkle,” followed by “Holler” in 2014, and Christmas album “Dear Santa” (2015).
The 25-year-old singer has also tried acting career. Soon after Girls Generation released the “Lion Heart” album in 2015, she made guest appearance in 2015 MBC drama “Warm and Cozy.” She also appeared as a supporting character in “Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo” as princess Wo-Hee and made cameo appearance in “Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-Joo.” Watch the M/V of her new single “Don’t Say No” from SM Entertainment official YouTube channel below:
