Former 2NE1 Member Minzy Clueless About Disbandment Song 'Goodbye' 'It's A Shame'
Minzy, a former member of the popular group 2NE1 revealed via Instagram that she was unaware that her previous group is working on their farewell song. The upcoming single is slated for release on January 21 and even features Minzy in the official promotional picture of "Goodbye."
The disappointment in Minzy's message was evident in her recent Instagram post. The photo features all four 2NE1 members along with a caption that read "It's a shame that I had to find out 2NE1 will be releasing their final album through a news article," as reported by Billboard.
Despite being on the official promotional picture of the 2NE1 final "Goodbye" song, the former member was not aware of the project. Minzy is no longer part of 2NE1, yet she felt the need to express her appreciation to all the fans that have supported them since the beginning.
It is worth mentioning that fans are expressing their opinions regarding the matter. Yibada reports that some fans disagree with how Minzy complained about being uninformed after she left the group for a solo career.
Meanwhile, prior to the 2NE1 disbandment being announced in 2016, the group was supposed to carry on as a trio despite Minzy leaving. Apparently, that plan did not materialize as the YG Entertainment CEO later opted to disband the group.
In a previous report, it was mentioned that the group's disbandment was a decision made in order to prioritize the mental and physical health of singer Park Bom. The 32-year old singer suffered from stress and guilt after the drug controversy leading Yang Hyun Suk to make the surprising move to disband.
