Yang Hyun Suk Reveals Park Bom Reason for 2NE1 Break Up; 'Goodbye' Track and MV Out Today [WATCH]

Yang Hyun Suk finally gave statements with regards to 2NE1's break up. His thoughts on the girl group's disbandment matters because he was the person who allowed it to happen.

Moreover, Yang is the best person to explain about 2NE1's situation as he is YG Entertainment's CEO who manages the group's career. On Jan. 17, during an interview with Yonhap News, he opened up about many things specially about 2NE1 and Big Bang.

Firstly, the CEO was asked about the sudden disbandment of YG's first ever girl group. This is the first time that he gave any statements about it so the real reason for the break up was revealed only now.

Yang explained that when Minzy left the agency and moved to another company, he wanted to protect 2NE1, however this was not the reason why he decided to disband the group. He said that he thinks Park Bom's mental health is not good after she suffered from severe criticisms following the controversy which links her to drug use.

The CEO relayed that since Bom was bashed so severely, she suffered from great stress while also feeling very guilty. Thus, although she expressed her desire to continue promoting despite the situation, Yang advised her to mind her health and get better first.

Further, he gave hope to 2NE1's fans by saying that it is possible for the group to reunite in the future. "You never know what can happen so there may come a day when they reunite like S.E.S. I believe that day will come," he told Yonhap.

At any rate, 2NE1 was reunited for a brief time as they record their last track "Goodbye." This is the group's last offering to fans and it will serve as their formal farewell as the band members go on their separate ways.

The song releases today, Jan. 21, and it was accompanied by a music video featuring three members CL, Dara and Park Bom. Billboard mentioned that CL co-wrote the track and she clearly expressed the sorrow she felt about the end of their group.

Meanwhile, Minzy was disappointed that she was excluded from 2NE1's farewell song. The youngest member of the group let her feelings known via Instagram post dated Jan. 19. In her update, she said that it was a shame that she only found out about the final track through the media.

She was clearly saddened since she stressed that she was a former member of 2NE1 after all. At the end of her post, she thanked the fans for supporting the group through the years and wishes that they will still continue to love all the members as they move on with their solo careers.
