‘Running Man’ To No Longer Call It Quits And Will Continue With All Original Members!

At the end of last year, fans around the world were given the sad news that long time variety show, 'Running Man' would be coming to an end in February.

Viewers were full of uncertainties and bitter feelings due to news of the show ending and the controversy of possibly having original members, Song Ji Hyo and Kim Jong Kook leave the show. However, it seems that the SBS production team has listened to the pleas of fans and will no longer be scratching the show. The show will continue on!

SBS confirmed the show's continuation and stated that,"After hearing the voices of fans, SBS and the 6 'Running Man' members have decided to continue the program with its current members. The production crew continued, "We also repeatedly apologized to the members for the incidents that happened during the program reorganization process, and the members eventually agreed to continue 'Running Man'."

Producer Nam Seung Yong met with each of the members individually to confirm their feelings about the decision. As stated in the Instagram post below, Nam PD and the 'Running Man' staff voiced out their thoughts and gratitude on the show's continuation:

"[RunningMan Staffs' official announcement] SBS & 6 RM members decided to keep going on RunningMan without stopping in consideration of RM fans' wishes for RM to be continued. NamSeungYong, new Vice President of SBS Entertainment Headquarters, who had planned RM firstly in 2010, has had sincere conversations with 6 RM members from the beginning of this year to up until now. He offered apology to 6 RM members again for the past things on the way of RM renewal and 6 RM members agreed to continue RM without stopping. He expressed sincere appreciation to 6 RM members for their difficult decision and he announced that he would do his best to make RM more enjoyable to return RM fans around the world who had been showing endless love for RM for 7 years since 2010."
