Korea Box Office is filled with movie from Korea itself, Japan, Disney, and many more. During the Lunar Year Holiday, the local movie took first place, beating other movies. "Assignment" took first place, replacing "KING".

According to variety, the first place before was "KING". But in the second weekend, it was replaced by "Assignment." The movie from CJ Entertainment got $32.2 million earnings and "KING" from NEW got $30.1 million earnings.

Meanwhile, the third place in the Box Office was taken by Disney's "Moana" with $12.7 million earnings. In the forth place was UPI's "Resident Evil: The Final Chapter" with $3.63 million earnings. It got good response as Lee Joon-ki was the supporting role. Being in the fifth place was Japanese animation "Your Name" with $1.53 million earnings.

According to report from hollywoodreporter, "Assignment" is a comedic thriller that brings the tense relationship between Seoul and Pyongyang. The story is about the assignment given to police detective to shadow  a North Korean operative.

The local movie in Korea gets more recognition and people are gaining more interest to watch. Previously, "Train to Busan" got a great record to get many earnings as the local movie. "The Thief" also got many earnings as the there were big stars as the main leads.

The main leads for "Assignment" are Hyun Bin, Yu Hai-jin, Kim Joo-hyuk, Gong Jeong-hwan, Lee Hea-Yong, Jang Young-nam, and Lim Yoon-a. Directed by Kim Sung-hoon and produced by JK Youn, this movie is really promising.

It seems that during the holiday, people in Korea want to watch something exciting and this movie is the perfect pick. For a family with children, then Disney's "Moana" will be a wise pick.
