‘SHINee The First Concert in Japan- SHINEE WORLD’ DVD released on January 11 in Japan, sold a total of 29,000 copies within the first week of sales. SHINee set a mark in history for themselves securing the #2 spot with their DVD on the Weekly Oricon DVD chart.

The only overseas male artists that ranked high on the DVD chart since April of 1999 was 2-member British group Underworld, as well as Korea’s very own 2PM who previously had DVD weekly ranking at #4.

The DVD contains footage of the group performing at their independent concert in Tokyo last December.

The group also made a breakthrough in Japan with their first Japanese single “Replay-You Are My Everything” on June of last year. Selling over 91,000 copies within the first week, that set a new record for a debuting overseas artist from Korea.
