Kanye West Rants About SNL And Celebrity Status In NYC

Kanye West went on another rant at the Adult Swim's Upfront at the Roseland Ballroom in New York. Known for saying what's on his mind, Kanye let loose and ranted about paparazzi, SNL, and his own celebrity status.

Kanye warned fans not to expect any skits from him on Saturday Night Life, or SNL, this weekend, where he will perform as the musical guest.

"I ain't doing no mother--ing SNL skits," Kanye said. His whole rant was filled with f-bombs.

Most of Kanye West's ranting monologue centered around his relationship with fame and paparazzi. "I ain't no motherf--g celebrity," he said, referring to the unwanted attention he gets from the press. "I ain't running for office."

According to Perez Hilton, Kanye only would agree to appear as SNL's musical guest if the show's writers did not make fun of his girlfriend and mother of his unborn child, Kim Kardashian.

Kanye pleaded to the audience to understand that he just wanted to be a man who makes music, and not a celebrity: "One thing about me, I'm the worst kinda ... celebrity because all I do is make real music. All I do is sit in the studio and make real, real (bleep). And that's it," he said.

"That's mother (bleeping)ing it. ... So I don't want nobody trying to run up on me with no cameras, trying to sell pictures and sh-- to magazines, asking me no dumbass questions, throwing me off of my focus ..." he continued. "Harassing you all (bleeping) day. I ain't no (bleeping) celebrity."

The 35-year-old rapper's anger may have stemmed from an incident that occurred on Friday, in which Kanye was embarrassingly photographed by paparazzi walking into a street sign in Beverly Hills and hitting his head.

Complex magazine posted the grainy video of Kanye's rant at the TV industry event.
