The co-director for the famous Disney-animated movie Brave condemned the makeover that was recently done to the famous Disney princess Merida because apparently, it exhibited 'blatant sexism'.

Brenda Chapman, the Oscar-winning writer and co-director of the Disney film Brave, a story about the life of a strong and fierce Disney Princess Merida, has made public censures regarding the very controversial and sexy alteration done to the physical appearance of the feisty and high-spirited heroine. She said that this deliberately sexist change for Disney Princess Merida is a marketing move to make more money.

Disney Princess Merida is a headstrong heroine character in the famous Disney film Brave that was released last year by Pixar. The animated female protagonist with a knack in archery has her own set of distinct characteristics and strong personality, making her as one of the popular role models now for little girls, among other Disney Princesses. Merida was even crowned as the latest addition to the Princesses of Disney, making her the 11^th one. But Merida had a royal and 'sexist' makeover last week, leaving a lot of mothers frustrated and furious about her unjustly transformation.

Brenda Chapman created and modeled Merida with her 13-year old daughter Emma as the inspiration, with a goal to make her as role model for children, especially the little girls. But this decision from Disney to make such sexist makeover to Disney Princess Merida is really infuriating. She even sent an email to the Marin Independent Journal, saying, "There is an irresponsibility to this decision that is appalling for women and young girls. Disney marketing and the powers that be that allow them to do such things should be ashamed of themselves."

Apparently, Chapman is not the only one condemning this 'tactical move' from Disney as there are already more than 200,000 people, especially the parents, who were also in strongly disapproval of the sexy changes made toDisney princess Merida, thus a petition was created and signed by them.
