"Boys Over Flowers" actor Lee Min Ho and "Doctors" star Park Shin Hye have emerged as the most popular Korean actors in a survey conducted among Americans. With the hallyu wave taking over the world, it seems as the fan base of these two actors are growing as well.

According to a report by Straits Times, a survey conducted among 4,700 respondents by the Korea Creative Content Agency showed Lee Min Ho topping the list of actors enjoying the most popularity in the US. Lee Min Ho recently starred in the hit fantasy series "Legend of the Blue Sea" which served as his well-received comeback to the Korean drama scene and his chemistry with co-star Jun Ji Hyun propelled the drama to record ratings.

Following closely behind is "Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo" lead actor Lee Joon Gi who was recently cast in the blockbuster "Resident Evil: The Final Chapter," his first foray into the Hollywood scene. "Pinocchio" star Lee Jong Suk placed third in the survey. Song Joong Ki of "Descendants of the Sun" fame and "Healer" star Ji Chang Wook also made it to the list of top actors.

For the actresses, Park Shin Hye led the pack as the Americans' favorite Korean actress, her management, Salt Entertainment confirmed. "Master's Sun" star Kong Hyo Jin placed second while singer and actress IU rounded up the list at third place.

Lee Min Ho and Park Shin Hye both starred in 2013's hit drama "The Heirs" and both enjoyed successful careers in dramas and movies. Recent rumors hint that a possible sequel to the City Hunter franchise is being planned and that Park Shin Hye is being eyed for the role of the leading actress opposite Min Ho, reported Kpopstarz.

Incidentally, both actors will figure in music related projects this month. Lee Min Ho is set to release his Always by Lee Min Ho album while Park Shin Hye will appear as the lead actress of Jung Joon Il's music video for "Wish."
