IU is Priming For Her Comeback: Will Unveil Self-composed Pre-release Single This Month!

IU is reportedly priming up for her long-awaited comeback. A representative from IU's group in Mar. 9 accordingly told news channels that IU has confirmed that she will have a pre-release single for Mar. However, while it is apparently true that she is preparing for her fourth full album, no specific date has accordingly been decided for the comeback.

According to Allkpop, IU told fans last month through her official fan cafe that she was recording a song that she really likes. And purportedly, she said the song will be one that female fans will really love. Reports also claim that IU's upcoming full album will be entirely self-produced.

Lee Ji-eun is better known by her stage name IU, according to Wilkepedia. She is a singer, songwriter and actress. While still in middle school, IU auditioned with several talent agencies to become a singer. She reportedly joined LOEN Entertainment in 2007 as a trainee. She began her music career at the age of 15 with her debut album, "Lost and Found."

Reportedly, IU's follow-up albums, "Growing Up" and "IU...IM" brought her to success. But it was through "Good Day," the lead single from her 2010 album "Real," that she attained national prominence. "Good Day" stayed five consecutive weeks at the number one position in South Korea's Gaon Digital Chart. It also holds the record for having the most number of weeks at top position along with Psy's "Gangnam Style."

IU has, accordingly been deeply acknowledged for her musical talents. She apparently soared beyond her image as Korea's cute younger sister. In recognition of her accomplishments, in 2015 Ize listed IU as one of the "Persons of the Year." She was also named as "Woman of the Year" by GQ Korea. 

Since February 2012, IU apparently has been an ambassador of South Korea's National Police Agency in the agency's anti-bullying campaigns in schools. She was conferred as an honorary member of the police force in 2013. After that, she was promoted to honorary senior police officer in 2014 for a two-year term.
