As the month of 'May'hem comes to a close, the final stage is set for the ultimate showdown between two female artists who are arguably the best in their genre: Lee Hyori and CL will bout head to head.

Lee Hyori is coming back from a 3-year hiatus. CL is standing on her own for the very first time since her debut 4 years ago. Talented, determined, prepared, they will show the fans of K-pop what they have been missing out on.

Their albums will release in the span of a week.

Lee Hyori's Monochrome is set to release on May 21, including her title song, "Miss Korea." Parting away from her previous 'bad girl' image, Lee Hyori will bring back a stylish, retro look with her black-and-white album.

Following her album release, her first on-air performance will take place on May 24 on 'Music Bank.'

CL's solo album is scheduled to release on May 28

An associate from YG Entertainment revealed, "CL's solo debut was CEO Yang Hyun Suk's biggest hand for the summer. He has been pushing for it for a long time."
