Super Junior's Heechul recently appeared on KBS' "Happy Together" along with other guest stars including Kim Sang Ho, Lee Soo Geun, John Park and Son Hyun Joo. The idol revealed some interesting stories about his past performance with actress Um Hyun Kyung as well as addressed queries about his sexual orientation.

On "Happy Together" episode March 16, Heechul was asked questions about how he ended up making a great kissing scene with Uhm Hyun Kyung on a romantic comedy they starred in 12 years ago. Heechul admitted that was one of the dreadful experiences he had ever encountered since he didn't have any acting experiences at that time. According to Soompi, Heechul was offered the role in the sitcom when he just debuted with Super Junior.

At first, Heechul was awkward to do the kissing scene with Uhm Hyun Kyung, so he decided to do it mildly by fake-kissing her in the chin. The director quickly noticed his trick and asked him to do it for real. So, Heechul politely asked Uhm Hyun Kyung if it's okay if he kissed her for real in which she said yes.  Uhm Hyun Kyung backfired at Heechul's story by saying that he did the scene as he was a pro-kisser while in fact, he wasn't. Heechul then pretended to be angry as he jokingly said that it was probably Uhm Hyun Kyung that spread the rumor about him not having interests in girls since she was the person telling everyone he's bad at kissing.

Regarding the recent rumor about Heechul's sexual orientation, the Super Junior idol also used the moment to clarify. A lot of people thought that Heechul might not have had interests in girls romantically because he befriends a lot of idol groups' members as he's not aware that he might develop some romantic feelings towards one of them. Heechul's friend that was also present on "Happy Together", Lee Soo Geun stated that it's a common thing if people have mistaken him as homosexual, as cited by Allkpop.

Heechul then proceeded to explain that a lot of girl groups' members enjoy hanging out with him since he's one of the male friends that just get them as women. Heechul also said that if he's close with girls, that means he's comfortable being their friends and if he likes a girl, he may not even be brave enough to initiate a conversation.

This is not the first time Heechul finds the need to clarify such rumor. Back in 2010, he said on SBS' "Strong Heart" that he likes women, hoping to end the rumor about his sexual orientation once and for all.
