Dream Concert 2017: BTS Agency Says Group May Skip Concert

Bangtan Boys or simply BTS was not able to attend the 2016 Dream Concert due to other commitments. Will the members of the South Korean boy band be able to join the concert this year?

A representative from their agency, Big Hit Entertainment, told Korean site, Osen, that BTS will be in Japan for their tour when the 2017 Dream Concert begins. Thus, it is going to be difficult for them to attend.

Apparently, this is a sad news for BTS fans planning to be at the concert as the group will not join for the second time around. As listed in BTS Diary, the BTS will kick off their Japan tour during the last week of May.

They will hold tours in the country until mid of July. This is part of the group's Live Trilogy Episode III The Wings Tour. They are set to tour all over Asia, Australia, Brazil, and United States.

BTS performed their new tracks from their second full-length studio album "You Never Walk Alone" in the tour. Their tracks "Spring Day," "Not Today," and "Not Today" broke records and made it to the top of music charts.

Aside from their studio albums in South Korea, BTS also released Japanese albums, "Wake Up" in 2014 and "Youth" in 2016. They did not only include Japanese versions of their songs but also released original tracks for their fans in Japan.

The Dream Concert is an annual concert held in South Korea at the Seoul World Cup Stadium. BTS last joined the concert in 2015. Last year's Dream Concert was attended by some of the biggest K-Pop idol groups including EXO, Red Velvet, FT Island, Seventeen, and T-ara.

According to Soompi, the 2017 Dream Concert will take place at the Seoul World Cup on June 3. Like last year, many K-Pop idols are expected to perform at the event.
