The South by Southwest (SXSW) music festival has just concluded, and with, some of the hottest K-pop stars had showcased what they got. Seven of the hottest K-pop groups and idols all appeared in the yearly music festival held in the U.S. These K-pop stars include, Tiger JK, Red Velvet, Hyolyn from Sistar, No Brain, Galaxy Express, Yoon Mi-rae and Bog Phony.

All of these K-pop idols showcased their innate talent and distinct Korean music to everyone, which has proven to be a very successful undertaking as it was well received by most Americans who attended the event. The 2017 SXSW was held in Austin, Texas last March 17, and to date, it remains to be one of the most successful music festivals in the U.S.

The SXSW music festival takes back its roots to 1987, wherein it is aimed to showcase the different film, music, and media products that are out in the entertainment industry. Up until now, Austin, Texas, is still the place where this music festival is held yearly.

According to Korea Times, Korean music began to make its way into the SXSW in 2012. In the recently held 2017 SXSW, Big Phony kicked up the opener with a vibrant and flashy performance. He was then followed by the ground moving performances of No Brain and Galaxy Express.

Meanwhile, Tiger JK and musical partner, Yoon Mirae, who also happens to be his wife, also took the stage by storm. Hyolyn from the girl group Sistar then captured the attention of the crowd with a hot and sizzling dance and son performance.

According to Korea Times, there were more than 2,500 people who attended the concert. This just proves that K-pop influence is still very strong, and that it is not showing any sign of decline, despite the strong competition happening in today's music entertainment industry.
