The recently held Baeksang Art Awards has just took off and with it, it has nominated a handful of some of the most popular K-pop idols to date. The awarding ceremony has been celebrated yearly since 1965.

It is an event which honors the outstanding milestones that are contributed by various artists in the entertainment industry of South Korea. The awarding ceremony seeks to bring out the best from the Korean films, TV dramas and theatrical plays.

And with it, a host of very popular idols has been nominated, two of the most popular are Park Go Bum and Park Shin Hye. Meanwhile, Gong Yoo has just been nominated in the category for Best Actor. This is thanks to his outstanding role in "Goblin".

Meanwhile, four other actors joined him in the Best Actor category. The most competitive of them are Park Go Bum for the role that he played in "Moonlight Drawn by Clouds", and Namgoong Min for the "Chief Kim". Then there are Jo Jung Suk and Han Suk Kyu who have had their roles in "Jealousy Incarnate" and "Romantic Doctor Kim" respectively.

The Best Drama category has also been one of the main highlights of the annually held, Baeksang Art Awards. According to Korea Portal, KBS 2TV's "Moonlight Drawn by Clouds" are going head to head against tvN's "Dear My Friends" and "Goblin" for the Best Drama category.

MBC's "W" and SBS's "Romantic Doctor Kim" have also joined the stiff competition for the said category. On the other hand, Kim Go Eun for "Goblin" and Park Shin Hye for her lovable role in "Doctors" are the main competitors for the Best Actress category, as they are two of the most popular ones who are nominated for the prestigious award.

According to Mobipicker, Seo Hyun Jin and Kim Ha Neul have also been nominated. With all of these being said, the yearly held Baeksang Art Awards really is one of the most prestigious awarding ceremonies that pays tribute to the hard work done by the people who worked hard in South Korea's entertainment industry.
