Sinbad Bankrupt Again? Comedian Owes Over $10 Million And Only Makes $16,000 Month Despite Owning Fleet Of Cars

Is Sinbad bankupt now after it's reported he owes over $10 million to creditors and only makes $16,000 a month? He filed for Chapter 13 protection in April and says it's impossible for him to pay everyone back.

1990s comedian, Sinbad, is bankrupt once again. TMZ reports the actor, comedian, television personality, Sinbad (real name David Adkins) filed for Chapter 13 bankruptcy in April.

Today it was reported he owes creditors $10,991,715 with only $131,000 in assets. The debt is said to largely arise form credit cards, but he says he still owes the IRS over $8 million.

Is Sinbad bankrupt? Well, lets do the math. It's reported "he owes $374,979 to American Express, $32,199 to Bank of America, and $2.3 million to the CA Franchise Tax Board," so it seems that the rumors of Sinbad's bankruptcy are true. Most fans haven't seen the comedian in ages, so he can't be making much in apperance fees, not that many clubs would even book the over-the-hill standup.

But the bankrupt Sinbad still has a nice collection of toys that he's unwilling to part with even as he files for bankruptcy, for the second time:

Of those possessions most are cars, he owns a "2007 BMW 750i, a 2006 VW Beetle, a 2010 Ford F150, [and] a 2010 Lincoln Navigator."

But that's not all of the stuff Sinbad listed in his paperwork, so it's strange the bankrupt Sinbad still enjoys so much stuff. He's also got "$5,000 in home office equipment and 200 copies of 'Sinbad's Guide to Life' currently for sale on Amazon for $6.25 each."

In 2009, Sinbad filed for bankruptcy, but because the bankrupt Sinbad didn't fill out the proper paperwork, it was never approved.

It appears he hasn't learned his lesson. If Sinbad is approved for the Chapter 13 bankruptcy, which he filed for back in April, he'll have zero credit for the next decade.

It stands to reason the comedian most popular during his heyday of the 1990's is just a cautionary tale for extravagant spending, but if you ever wondered what happened to Sinbad, know that Sinbad's bankrupt and doesn't appear to be getting out of his financial woes anytime soon.
