Comeback of 'The Oldest K-Pop Idol' Shinhwa Interview

Since their debut 1998, Shinhwa has reached a whole new level of maturity in music as well as team chemistry. Having always been a symbol of perfect team choreography, Shinhwa came back with The Classic.

"Of course, each member has a different taste in music and has varying preferences. But we all like all ten tracks in this album. We especially love that we broke out of our typical music," Eric said.

Lee Minwoo and Jun Jin shared that they "Wanted to express the sexiness and the tenderness of thirty-something year olds. We are very proud of being the first to put on a performance like ours. The choreography is difficult but manageable to follow, so we are hoping some flash mobs."

During the interview, the members of Shinhwa constantly bantered and jabbed at one another. But underneath the quick back-and-forths was their brotherhood from 15 years of teamwork. Eric shared a touching story about Jun Jin from this Parents' Day on May 8.

"I was feeling under the weather with the new album coming soon. I didn't prepare anything for my parents and just gave them a call. They told me Jun Jin sent them a bouquet. I teared up a bit," Eric said.

Lee Minwoo chimed in, "Whenever something bad breaks out, we take care of one another like it's our own business. That is why we have been able to stick together."

Kim Dong Wan joked, "I have never received any care from the members. I want to get in trouble so I can be on the receiving end of it."

With the first concert taking place on June 8, Shinhwa will go on a concert tour across Asia this summer.
