BTS Takes Over Billboard Music Awards 2017, Fans Angered By Perez Hilton’s Remark On Members’ Sexuality

BTS has made another history. The group is officially the first K-Pop group to attend the prestigious Billboard Music Awards 2017 and brought home a trophy for Top Social Artist. It's actually not a surprise since BTS has been consistently dominating the votes for the category, thanks to ARMY.

Ever since Billboard nominated BTS as Top Social Artist of the year, fans have put their utmost efforts to help Rap Monster and co. win the category. And now, as per Allkpop, BTS is finally awarded as Top Social Artist of 2017, winning over Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, Shawn Mendes, and Ariana Grande.

BTS stole everyone's attention at BBMA 2017. Vogue even dubbed them as The Best Dressed Boy Band at The Billboard Music Award. The fashion magazine stated that the group smartly stepped out in a suite of sleek black suits.

The spotlight is now on Jungkook, Jimin, V, J-Hope, Jin, Namjoon, and Suga. A lot of people are suddenly taking interest in the K-Pop group that debuted in 2013, including Perez Hilton. The gossip columnist took it to Twitter to express his interest to the group. However, fans are furious about Perez Hilton's comment, which they think is inappropriate.

On his Twitter, Perez Hilton wrote: RT if you're horny for BTS. A fan replied his tweet saying it's disrespectful and he shouldn't sexualize them. While many fans are angry about Perez Hilton's remark, there are fans who think those fans are overly reacting since they constantly sexualize BTS members as well on the group's social media comment section.

Regardless, fans are now cheering for BTS' first international award. Prior to the winning, BTS has held its North America tour as a part of its 'Wings Tour'. Now, the group is officially a legend in the history of K-Pop for its countless fantastic record. Congratulations BTS!
