Girls' Generation's Sooyoung will lead her first drama ever in "Cyrano Agency" which will premiere on May 27.

The drama is an adaptation of the successful film, 'Cyrano Agency,' in which Park Shin Hye played the original female lead role.

Recently, Girls' Generation has not had much luck in the small screens. Although Yoona gained huge popularity with the success of her daily drama last year, her following dramas, 'Cinderella Man' and 'Love Rain,' did not live up to expectations.

Jessica's "Violent Roamnce" hovered around low TV ratings and was questioned whether she is ready to be a serious actress.

Yuri fended for herself in "Fashion King" but was outshined by Yoo Ah In, Shin Se Kyung and Lee Jae Hoon.

Sooyoung's debut drama "The Third Hospital" went smoothly but was not a huge hit.

At the press conference for "Cyrano Agency" held on May 22, veteran actors Lee Jong Hyuk and Lee Chun Hee spoke highly of Sooyoung's acting skills, heightening the public's expectation for the upcoming drama.

Truly successful idols-turned-actors to date are miss A's Suzy, A-Pink's Eunji, ZE:A's Im Siwan and a few more. Their successes have been largely due to the combination of their acting skills, good fit with assigned characters and quality productions.

The table is set. We shall see whether Sooyoung will deliver what it takes to succeed in the small screens.
