RaNia's Di Hit By Motorcycle: Star Suffers Injuries To Knees And Head

Di of the six-member K-pop girl group RaNia was injured Thursday after a motorcycle crashed into her, according to the website Daily K-pop News.

"Di got hit by a motorcyclist while getting off from a taxi near her [talent] agency headquarters in Seoul," said a representative for the singer.

"She was transported to hospital right away, and revealed to have suffered minor injuries to her knees and head."

Di's representative said it could have been a lot worse.

"The X-ray result showed that there are no bone fractures," the rep said. "However, she is still feeling a bit of dizziness, and she will have to stay in hospital for one or two more days."

Di was forced to sit out of RaNia's performances on May 23 and 24.

"I'm sorry for causing a trouble," the singer said. "I will try to recover as soon as possible."

Last month, RaNia announced they will be collaborating with rap superstars Snoop Dogg and 2 Chainz.

"We are definitely looking forward to the results," the band told the website allkpop in a prepared statement. "The most important thing we can do now is to do our best to prepare."

RaNia, which also includes members Saem, Jooyi, T-ae and Xia also announced they would be filming a reality show about their trip to the US, starting this week.

"Starting May 21st, RaNia will begin filming for their MTV reality show 'Road to Fame' in LA, San Diego, and other cities across the US," said a representative from RaNia's record label DR Music.

"The show will feature the group's preparations for their US debut and will air for three months."

"As we worked with notable artists in the American music industry, there has been good word-of mouth spreading about [RaNia]," the rep added.

"Through the growing popularity of K-pop through YouTube and more, we were also able to cross paths with acquaintances we never expected to work with before."

But in a band statement issued to the website JPopAsia, RaNia, who formed in 2011, admitted they still have work to do in building up their fan base.

"We still have a long way to go in order to have our own standing," the statement said.

"People...don't seem to know us. We need to have more activities going on."
