SS501 Park Jung Min Puts an End to Legal Battles Against Management

The members of SS501 have pursued solo careers since the outbreak of legal battles due to unlawful withholding of payments by the management company, CNR Media.

Park Jung Min finally put an end to his legal battles against CNR Media on May 22.

After his former management company did not proceed to follow the court order and pay his overdue portion of profits from SS501 activities last July, Park Jung Min went on to file another lawsuit in October for around $200, 000.

The court recommended the two parties to make a settlement without further court proceedings, but the CNR Media continued to refuse to take any action in terms of payment all the while admitting to most of their illegal withholding of payouts.

Following such incompliance from the management company, the court put together an agreement by providing a legal adviser to facilitate the talk between the two parties.

In consideration of CNR Media's extreme financial instability, Park Jung Min decided to accept the minimum sum he initially for at $200, 000 and end all financial ties with the company.

Park Jung Min's lawyer concluded, "Even from the start of our lawsuit, the ultimate purpose was not money. We wanted to break our lingering ties with the company so that Park Jung Min could pursue his career free from their obstruction."

This final end to his long and arduous legal battles signals a new career for Park Jung Min, who has a new album in the works as well as plans to feature in various films in the near future.
