‪Eminem New Album 2013 Rumors: Possible Facebook Diss Track? [VIDEO]

Eminem's new album coming out this summer might feature a song about Facebook, whom his publishing company, Eight Mile Style, is suing for allegedly copying his 2000 song, "Under the Influence."

His publishing company filed a 12-page federal complaint in a Detroit court on Monday last week, reports the San Francisco Chronicle, and the Eminem 2013 album could possibly feature a diss track, or at least a Mark Zuckerburg song.

The Facebook ad Eminem's publisher is suing over is a 60 second spot called "Airplane," which markets Facebook Home.

Here is the Facebook ad Eminem is suing over, which might spur a Facebook or Mark Zuckerberg diss track this summer:

And here is the Eminem song "Under the Influence" from 2000. Despite Facebook changing the music, the similarities are hard to ignore.

According to Eight Mile Style's complaint, the song was featured in a webcast given by Facebook's founder, Mark Zuckerberg on April 4, prompting the publisher to issue the complaint just after.

The section of the video using the song has since been changed after the formal complaint.

But Eminem's lawyers claim, "The alteration of the 'Airplane' advertisement was an admission that Facebook knew it had infringed on the Eminem/D12 Composition.”

The complaint goes after the unauthorized use of Eminem's song from 2000, but it also specifies that Wieden+Kennedy, the PR company behind the spot, duplicated Eminem’s music “in an effort to curry favor with Facebook by catering to Zuckerberg’s personal likes and interests, and/or to invoke the same irreverent theme” of the song.

After Facebook changed the music in the ad, Eight Mile Style included the changed song in it's complaint saying the change was "an admission that Facebook knew it had infringed" on Eminem's music in the original ad.

Despite the lawsuit, Eminem is on track to release his new album this summer as part of his August tour that's already been set up.

Previously, Eminem hasn't limited his antipathy to social media sites like Facebook.

He's beefed with Christina Aguilera, Insane Clown Posse, Ja Rule, Michael Jackson, Mariah Carey and husband Nick Cannon, Moby (at the MTV Music Video Awards), Benzino of The Source, Limp Bizkit and a host of others.

There have already been rumors it will feature a guest spot by comedian Chris Rock, after he tweeted out a picture of the two in the studio.

Recently Shady Records released a video of Eminem's label mate 50 Cent, touring through the studio.

It's the same studio where Eminem is working on his 2013 release.
