Lee Hyori Tweets CL And B2ST Calling Them Out For Knocking Her Off The Top Of The Charts

May has been a great month for K-Pop fans with so many different new releases and comebacks. The month, however, has been a bit stressful for the artists who find themselves duking it out to be number one.

Veteran K-Pop diva Lee Hyori made a huge splash with her long overdue fifth album and the tracks "Miss Korea" and "Bad Girl." Both songs, as well as her updated image and powerful presentation have been praised by fans and critics alike.

But on May 28 2NE1 leader CL made her solo debut with "The Baddest Female" and it shot to the top of the ever-changing online digital charts. Stiff competition for the two divas who both bring insane amounts of fierceness to the table.

And then, lo and behold, Cube Entertainment's sexy boy band B2ST pre-releases their new single on May 29 and the charts are thrown into chaos yet again.

Perhaps this is a testament to the short attention span of K-Pop fans. Or maybe more likely, a sign that there is just a whole lot of great music being released to start our summers out right.

Lee Hyori certainly has not let her competition go unnoticed and soon after B2ST's "Will You Be Alright?" hit the internet (and the top of the charts), she got on Twitter to tease her juniors.

Miss Korea herself tweeted, "CL, yo gizibe. Your senior was trying to be number one, but you won't come down~ Yo, bad gizibe~ And then there's B2ST. Yo punks, pre-releasing a song now, you bad punks."

At first glance it appears that Lee Hyori is jealous of the success of her fellow musicians, seemingly whining about the change in the charts and getting knocked down a few notches. But the tweet seems playful enough, and, in her own way, Lee Hyori is applauding their accomplishments and giving them credit for winning over the fans.

Soon after releasing her album Monochrome and the title single "Bad Girls" on May 21, Lee Hyori obtained the coveted "all-kill" in the online music charts, hitting number one on eight different rankings all at once. The music video has been referred to as the best video of the year and the song has already been viewed nearly 1.5 million times on YouTube.

CL, the powerfully fierce leader of girl group 2NE1, shot onto the scene with her solo debut, "The Baddest Female" and in just about two days, the video has reached over 2 million hits on YouTube. The song has far-reaching appeal due to its mashup of various pop and hip-hop melodies infused with electronica and dubstep beats.

Cube Entertainment's popular boy band B2ST forced themselves into the limelight with the digital single of "Will You Be Alright?" on May 29 and within just a couple hours they achieved the all-kill. Their song, however, is incredibly different from those of the female soloists and is a melancholic ballad that was written by group member Yong Junhyung.

So there you have it. Three really different songs from three equally varied artists all vying for attention from fans - and one tweet from Lee Hyori sarcastically calling the others out.
