While Justine Bateman's brother Jason Bateman is busy with the return of "Arrested Development" on Netflix, the 47-year-old actress has returned to college and firmly away from the Hollywood spotlight.

The "Family Ties" actress just finished her first year as a college freshman studying computer programming at UCLA. According to ABC News, she has received two A-pluses and one A-minus last quarter, and cites the pain of auditioning as a reason for her career redirection.

"I can't audition anymore," Justine told L.A. Current. "I just completely ran out of gas."

This strikes a different tone than her brother, who recently told Entertainment Weekly that he "felt really privileged" to be a part of the new season of "Arrested Development."

"I was grinning like a little girl who had just got asked to prom by some big stud," teased Jason Bateman about filming a scene with the entire cast again.

"I felt super pretty."

In addition to college, Justine, a mother-of-two, also dedicates part of her time to a blog where she regularly posts about college life.

"If you were on a top TV Show at that time, EVERYONE knew you. Everyone," she wrote recently. "Even though I worked hard at acting and on the show and other projects, it's not really working hard when the wave is just going your way."

"I guess it helps if you had no general plan (besides going to college) before the good fortune fell into your lap, but it's interesting to think about early moments in life where your "path" just unfolds itself to you and it doesn't seem like you have to put much effort into it to keep it going. Christ, this is not that. My life now, I mean."

But the she seems to be taking the work, studying, and mothering in stride.
