New Guinness Record For Psy, 'Largest Mob Dance' Confirmation Underway For 'Gangnam Style' [VIDEO]

Last October Psy performed a free concert in his hometown Seoul to celebrate his world-wide fame and glory. The performance in front of City Hall was attended by 100,000 people and now Guinness has acknowledged a new world record was set on that night.

When Psy sang "Gangnam Style" for the crowd on October 14, he inspired everyone to participate in the enormous public event by doing the 'horse dance' together. Guinness now recognizes this as the largest mob dance of all time.

Korea's Record Branch stated, "Psy's horse riding mob dance feat with 100,000 fans has been acknowledged as a Guinness World Record, and is now recorded as the biggest mob dance."

Confirmation is still underway as authorities are still submitting official video footage, photos, and other documentation to Guinness.

When the process is complete Psy will be officially acknowledged as well as the fans who participated in the event.

"The 100,000 fans are also the holders of the record, so this record is particularly meaningful," said the Record Branch. "Psy will also be receiving a certificate as an official acknowledgement from Guinness.

This, of course, is not Psy's first world record. He already holds the titles for Most Viewed YouTube video for "Gangnam Style" and Most Viewed Online Video in a 24 Hour Period with "Gentleman."
