Rapper 2 Chainz was robbed at gunpoint on June 9 in San Francisco by two men, according to a San Francisco Police Department spokesperson and reports from various media outlets. 2 Chainz took to Twitter to deny the incident in a series of tweets to fans that are sending mixed messages.

According to Billboard.com, Sgt. Dennis Toomer said 2 Chainz and five members of his entourage were talking in downtown San Francisco on Sunday afternoon. Three men approached, one of them holding a gun. Police say one shot was fired and the rapper's cellphone and wallet were stolen.

2 Chainz, whose real name is Tauheed Epps, tweeted: "Rule #1 if a rapper gets robbed people usually post items that has been taken. Rings, chains, watch, money etc."

"Rule #2 if a rapper gets shot he usually go to hospital or dies."

Lastly, the 35-year-old rapper added, "Rule #3 we definitely got geeked up in San Fran, best smoke in the world. 2 blessed 2 stress."

According to HollywoodLife.com, when police arrived on the scene after responding to shots fired, 2 Chainz told law enforcement officials that he would handle the situation himself and did not want the police to get involved.

HollywoodLife.com also reports that a San Francisco Police Department spokesperson said that police responded to a shots fired call at 4:36pm but when they arrived at the scene, 2 Chainz was there alone.

The statement reports: "He and his crew were walking in the 800 block around 4:36pm. They were approached by two Hispanic males; one produced a handgun and a shot was fired. Mr. Epps is saying he was robbed of a wallet, credit cards, US Currency and a cell phone. The suspect is still at large, and the investigation is ongoing. The suspect is 20 to 30 years old, 5 foot 6 inches and about 130 pounds. He was wearing a dark shirt and blue jeans."

Fans are bewildered by the various reports of the incident.
