Wife Of Actor Marco Denies Domestic Abuse: 'We Got Married' Star Reportedly Punched Her In The Face, Threw Vacuum Cleaner

The wife of the actor and model Marco, best known for his role on the popular reality show "We Got Married," is denying reports that her husband punched her in the face, threw a vacuum cleaner at her and tossed her cellphone on the floor, according to the website Soompi.

Marco's wife, South Korean professional golfer Ahn Si Hyun, claims that despite her husband's arrest Sunday on domestic abuse charges, the whole thing was blown out of proportion.

"It is true that we had a small verbal argument," Ahn told the publication Newsen on Wednesday.

"But Marco was not violent with me."

Seoul police announced Monday that Ahn dropped all domestic abuse charges against Marco and the case was dismissed.

The explosive argument between the celebrity couple, who married in 2011, reportedly started when the pro golfer asked her husband to hand her some tissues to clean up after their 2-year-old daughter who had just urinated on the floor.

Marco, who was rushing out the door to get to work on time, allegedly then turned violent.

Although the accounts of what happened next vary in different Korean media outlets, the star reportedly punched Ahn in the face, grabbed her hair and then threw a vacuum cleaner and her phone.

"Both of us were very emotional, so I did call the police, but it's not as serious as people think," the golfer said.

Local authorities questioned Marco, who starred in the films "Love Exposure," "Air City" and "It's Okay, Daddy's Girl," for five hours, according to the publication Kuki News.

Yet Ahn claims she never meant for Marco to be charged with a crime.

"I have never talked about settlements or charges with the police and I have no thoughts to press charges against my husband with anything," Ahn added.

"Marco and I are very flustered that a small verbal argument became so widely covered by the media."

A representative for Marco's talent agency confirmed the couple was deeply disturbed by the public scrutiny of their marriage.

"The two of them are very shaken that a small spat turned into something this big," the rep said. "They have reconciled and are at home with their daughter."

Yet Marco's agency rep cautioned that the star may not be able to remain in the cast of the MBC program "Find Delicious TV" as a result of his actions.

"If the staff [of 'Find Delicious TV'] want Marco to step down, he will step down and have a time of reflection," the rep said.

The South Korean television network execs decided to keep Marco on the show, but will edit him out of some of his scenes.

"We will air Marco's parts in the show as planned," a representative for MBC said.

"Marco will appear in the New Zealand special that will air on June 15 but we will edit it to decrease his parts."

Yet the star's future on "Find Delicious TV," is reportedly still up in the air.

"Marco decided not to attend the studio recording that will take place on June 11," the MBC spokesperson said.

"As for the June 22 and June 29 episodes, his outdoor parts will air as planned...as for the final decision for him to step down, we will decide on that after seeing how things go for a bit."
