The Korea Herald is one of the premiere English-language newspapers in South Korea and this week they named the 10 best looking celebrities in the country.

Lists of attractive celebs are a common sight around the internet, but what makes the Korea Herald's list unique is that they chose to focus on hallyu stars - those who have made a name for themselves overseas as part of the Korean Wave.

The list is comprised of five males and five females and covers the usual singers and actors, and more.

At the top of the list for females is missA singer Suzy. Even though she is still quite young (at only 20 years old), she has made a name for herself around the world with her glamourous image and sweet charm.

Suzy is not only a talented singer, but an accomplished actress as well. Her roles in the K-dramas Dream High and Big, as well as her work in the popular film Architecture 101, landed her the distinction as the nation's "first love."

For the men, actor Kim Soo Hyun nabs first place. The 26-year-old actor has appeared in numerous films and television shows, but his lead role in last year's Moon Embracing the Sun thrust him into the international spotlight.

In the popular historical drama, Kim Soo Hyun played a fictional king of the Joseon Dynasty and instantly won the hearts of female fans across the globe.

His latest movie, Secretly, Greatly, about a North Korean spy, is also gaining attention from international audiences who have taken notice of his acting ability and good looks.

The remaining celebs on the list include a variety of famous faces.

In the women's category, Davichi member Kang Min Kyung ranks number two while commercial model Go Jun-hee is in the number three spot. Rounding out the top five are rhythmic gymnast Son Yeon-jae at number four and popular actress Park Shin Hye.

For the men, Nine star Lee Jin Wook unsurprisingly ranks number two ahead of Lee Soo-hyuk, a professional Korean model. In fourth and fifth place are actors Lee Je-hoon and Song Joong Ki.
