SHINHWA's member Kim Dong Wan is praised by netizens for being generous. He was on the celebrity spotlight because of his recent act of kindness to his previous manager.

One of the representatives of his agency stated on XsportsNews in a phone conversation " We didn't find out about his good deeds until we read it in the news".

The representative continued in the phone patch stating " Kim Dong Wan's previous manager. Mr. Kim was having a hard time so he gave Mr. Kim 30 million won. When I asked him about the gift, he answered with a shock, 'Did that get in the news?' But anyway, it was his way of showing his previous manager his thanks combined with the fact that he is having a hard time".

Kim Dong Wan was nicknamed as 'Idol Donation King' because he watches over his friends and people close to him and gives help whenever he can. He was also reported giving 30 million won for the grandmother forced to serve Japan's military brothels and became comfort women during the Japanese occupation.
