*Update*: Allen Iverson Says He Did Not Take His Kids Hostage

After reports surfaced yesterday,  former basketball player Allen Iverson has denied allegations of his ex-wife Tawanna Iverson that he kidnapped his five children and held them hostage in a Sheratan hotel room in Atlanta, Georgia.

On Monday Tawanna filed the claim which mentioned the hotel the former Philly 76er was staying.  Later that day Jeff Hullinger, an Atlanta TV reporter, caught up with Allen at the hotel as he was walking with his children to his Maybach.  The video below shows the interview that was taken with Allen.  Purposely, the children did not appear in the interview.

"They say I stole my kids? That's what they say?" Iverson told Jeff Hullinger, who offered to show him the court papers. "...If that's what you believe and people think I'm crazy enough to do, then so be it."

On Tuesday morning TMZ, who initially broke the story, reported that Iverson in fact did return his kids.  Additionally, it was discovered that he showed up in court last week to tell the judge that Tawanna actually had full access to their children at the hotel room.  Iverson's ex-wife testified to not picking up her kids because the trip was too far for her.

As it was previously reported, Tawanna who has sole custody of their five kids ranging from 3 to 16, told the court that she allowed Allen to take the kids on a mini trip to North Carolina from May 22nd to May 26th.  When she attempted to pick them up on Jun 4th her ex-husband and children were no where to be found.  She wanted the court to demand Iverson to bring back the kids and put him behind bars.

Although the court did not agree with Tawanna's wishes to lock her ex-husband up, A.I. feels like he is never going to be treated equally.

"I ain't never treated fairly," he told Hullinger. "Don't expect to be."
