South Korean rapper Eun Ji Won has been temporarily added to the cast of the Seoul Broadcasting System (SBS) program "Barefoot Friends."

The short-term addition to the show's cast comes as a result of comedian and rapper Yoon Sae Yoon's firing due to DUI charges and Kim Bum Soo getting sidelined by a leg injury he suffered last week while filming an episode of the show.

Kim is currently hospitalized indefinitely.

One half of the hip hop duo UV, Yoon baffled South Korean authorities by turning himself in for drunk driving earlier this month.

"There was no accident due to the DUI," an Ilsan police spokesperson announced following an official investigation into the incident.

"Yoo Sae Yoon felt guilty and that is why he turned himself in. This is the first time that somebody turned himself in after drunk driving."

In South Korea, if a motorist's blood alcohol is above .10 percent, their license is permanently revoked.

Two days later, Yoo took to Twitter to apologize to his fans.

"I am sorry," he wrote. "I gave a huge disappointment to all the people that love me. The incident happened impulsively because I had a lot of stress."

Yoo's former "Barefoot Friends" co-star Kim Bum Soo injured his leg last week, while preparing to shoot an episode of the reality show.

According to the publication Star News, Kim was preparing to shoot a scene at an indoor swimming pool in South Korea's North Gyeonsang Province, when he sustained the injury.

"Kim Bum Soo has not fully recovered from his leg injury from 'Barefoot Friends,'" the singer's representative said on Thursday.

"A release date [from the hospital] has not been set yet," the star's rep said. "He will be able to return to the TV programs once his leg makes a full recovery."

Although it appears they are in bad need of actors, Eun Ji Won's record label GYM Entertainment says the actor is only a temporary cast member.

"Eun Ji Won joined the other members for the filming today," the rep said.

"He will be attempting many of the challenges including diving...Eun Ji Won is only appearing temporarily. He will not become a permanent member of 'Barefoot Friends.'"

An anonymous SBS network exec also confirmed that Eun, who was a member of the hip hop group Sechs Kies, was not a permanent replacement for Yoon or Kim.

"Although Eun Ji Won is currently a participant in this show, he is not a permanent member," the executive said.

"We still have not decided on who will replace Yoon Sae Yoon and Kim Bum Soo."
