Google Android Video Game Console, Smart Watch Already In The Works?

Google Android game console is reportedly under development already, together with a smart watch.

After the recent release of Android-based game console, Ouya, reports are now claiming that the Android OS maker is now next in the line to get into the video gaming industry. According to a report from Wall Street Journal, cited by USA Today, Google is already developing its own Android video game console.

The report claims that a Google video game console Android-based plus a wristwatch, also running in Android is already in line, as revealed by 'people familiar with the matter." Accordingly, a reason why Google is working on these new Android products is to "get the jump on Apple in case they develop similar devices."

IGN also reported that Google's Android-based video game console may arrive this fall and it is included in a myriad of secret projects which include a smart watch and a busheled version of the unsucessful "Nexus Q set-top streaming device".

However, USA Today noted that Google did not make any comments regarding the report that came out. And though details are sparse regarding the rumored Google video game console in Android OS, it is actually not a bizarre strategy for the search engine giant to produce their own line of Android-based game console. This is especially because more and more Android gaming platforms are released in the market, like the freshly launched, Ouya, as well as other consoles such as Project Shield, Gamestick and more.

Speaking of game consoles, Microsoft Xbox One and Sony Playstation 4, the possible rivals of Google Android-based video game console, has already been revealed and excited fans are just waiting for their arrival.

On the other hand, OUYA, a KickStarter project and an Android-based game console was just launched online this week, with a price tag of $99, with separate independent game titles (free-to-try) worth only $2-$3.
