McKayla Maroney, Kyla Ross Debut New Floor Routines: 2016 Olympics Training Underway, Gabby Douglas To Follow

Two of the Fab Five from the gold-winning Olympics gymnastics team, Kyla Ross and McKayla Maroney, have resumed training at the Karolyi Ranch in Texas.

In recent Youtube videos, fans can see Ross and Maroney running through their newly choreographed floor routines.

Ross, 16, was the first gymnast of the Fab Five to resume training following the 2012 Olympics. Although briefly hindered with a heel injury, she is regaining her difficulty and form, as seen by her beam and uneven bars performances at recent competitions.

Maroney, 17, was less fortunate following her silver medal win on vault. Despite performing on Kellogg's Tour of Gymnastics Champions, she was injured during an uneven bars dismount, which required surgery.

"I was kind of nervous to be completely honest, because I haven't been here since the Olympics and I didn't really know what to expect," said Maroney during an interview at the Karolyi Ranch.

"I'm pretty much all of nothing, so right when I got back, I was training at least six hours a day."

And it's paying off, as evidenced by her latest attempts at her iconic amanar vault below:

But don't worry, the remaining three gymnasts from last year's gold win, Gabby Douglas, Jordyn Wieber, and Aly Raisman, are all planning to return in the near future.

Douglas, who became the first African American woman to win the all-around gold medal, returned to training last month with her coach Liang Chow.

"It's so great to be back," said the 17-year-old champion to Register.

"I just missed everyone, my teammates, my coaches, my host family. I definitely want to do it again."

Though Douglas, like her former teammates, are planning to aim for the 2016 Olympics in Rio, she knows it's going to take much more this time around.

"It's going to take much more hard work. It's going to be different than 2012 because everyone knows me now and has expectations."
