'Fifty Shades Of Grey' To Heat Up Comic-Con: Fans Speculate Over Movie Cast Before Release, Will EL James Reveal Names In San Diego?

"Fifty Shades of Grey" will be returning to the San Diego Comic-Con next month, and with a release date and director already announced, will the cast of the upcoming movie adaptation be revealed next?

"A reveal of the cast is currently planned for Comic-Con," a source tells The Hollywood Life, although we've heard that one before.

Prior to the announcement of its August 2014 release date, many names have surfaced from fans and news sources alike to play the roles of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele.

So far, the top runners include Ryan Rosling, Ian Somerhalder, Alexander Skarsgard, and Robert Pattinson for the billionaire gentleman, and Alexis Bledel, Emma Watson, and Mila Kunis for Anastasia.

A reveal at Comic-Con makes logical sense, as the convention has drawn more fans every year, with 2012 capping at around 130,000 visitors through the entire weekend.

Last year, author E. L. James arrived at Comic-Con to sign for fans of her trilogy, "Fifty Shades of Grey," "Fifty Shades of Darker," and "Fifty Shades of Freed."

"My husband refuses to read it but he's really benefited from it," says one fan to The Hollywood Reporter as she waited for an autograph.

Altogether, the "Fifty Shades" franchise has sold 20 million copies in the U.S. and 31 million copies worldwide, making James into a millionaire.
