British Parliament Member Keith Vaz Challenges Colleagues To 'Gangnam Style' Dance-Off: Asks Psy To Judge [VIDEO]

As the most watched viral video in history, Psy's "Gangnam Style" has popped up at a long list of unexpected places.

The rapper will soon be able to include England's House of Commons to that list if one member of Parliament (MP) gets his way.

Leicester East MP Keith Vaz has challenged his colleagues in the UK's governing body to what he is calling a "Gangnam Style" dance-off, according to BBC News.

"If [the other members of Parliament] are not prepared to do this in our city, we are going to go down to the terrace at the House of Commons and we will see how many people turn up on that occasion," Vaz said.

"This is a contest that will go on for a while."

The MP who said he is "throwing down the gauntlet," also invited Psy to judge the contest if it happens.

Vaz reportedly got the idea for the faceoff after the MP performed the King of K-Pop's iconic horse dance to "Gangnam Style" on Friday along with students of Gateway College.

The publicity stunt was part of Leicester's attempt to win the country's UK's City of Culture award.

"Despite the fact there were exams out, we had over a hundred people here, which I think is a terrific achievement," Vaz told Pukaar News regarding the "Gangnam Style" gathering.

"And I hope this helps us win the competition. That's what it's all about, winning the competition."

"The next 'Gangnam' will be on the terrace of the House of Commons," he declared.

Dundee East MP Stewart Hosie is amused by the idea of Psy making an appearance in the halls of Parliament, but claims he won't be shooting his own "Gangnam Style" homage anytime soon.

"I have no plans to do a 'Gangnam Style' video," Hosie said.

"I'm almost tempted to say I think I will leave the [City of Culture] bid to the professionals."

A spokesman for Hull North MP Diana Johnson, claims that while she is actively supporting her city's bid for the City of Culture designation, the MP is unlikely to support Vaz's efforts to bring "Gangnam Style" to Parliament.

"[MP Johnson] is of course backing the bid but I'm not sure the people in the Hull bid are that desperate [for publicity]," the spokesman said.

"Hull is pretty confident we are well placed [to win the City of Culture contest] without that sort of thing."
