Maserati Ghibli Price Starts at $65,000; For the `Most Demanding Customers’ `Not for Everyday Driving' (Review Highlights)

Maserati Ghibli price starts at $65,000 and the earlies Maserati Ghibli review says Maserati oozes glamour and the Ghibli looks great and seems well made, but it’s not for everyday driving. The new Maserati Ghibli hits American showrooms in September.

Maserati Ghibli’s price puts it in a class for the “most demanding customers” and the Italian car company is set to take on all its top competitors in 2014. The Maserati Ghibli is named after the Arabic word for a hot wind from the Sahara and like that desert breeze, it is set to blow over all the elite models that have become the top toys for the wealthy.

Maserati is going against German automakers like Audi. Maserati product development manager, Benedetto Orvietani, told Bloomberg News “We have to steal buyers from the Germans. We are going after their most demanding customers, the ones that are bored of their Audi A6 and want to stand out.”

Since the order guide was leaked online earlier this year, the Maserati Ghibli has been revving up the buzz as of late after the order guide was leaked online. Talk online speculates that the Italian carmaker can take over the market.

By 2015, Maserati wants to hike sales to more than of 50,000. It looks like an attainable goal, but some of the German automakers sell over a million cars in one year. But the Gameran aren’t always gong after the higher class buyers with a lot of money to spend.

The new Maserati Ghibli is a mid-size sedan. It has a low front end anda high rear end and a Ferrari 330-horsepower V6 engine that gives it plenty of power. The new luxury vehicle has four doors and a slick look from headlight to taillight.

There are plenty of options involved with the new car, including a keyless entry and start. The model also comes in 14 different colors and offers three different levels of sound system that can go up to 15 speakers.

But according to a review in England’s Telegraph, that’s “not enough to get this car on the same shopping list as its German or Coventry-created rivals. Maserati oozes glamour and the Ghibli looks great and seems well made - although only time will tell there. The engines are powerful, but the diesel is far from mellifluous and its ride is terrible. Sure, it responds if you drive like you stole it, but in everyday motoring that’s not enough, even if it has a Maserati badge.”
