Minecon 2013 Update [VIDEO]: 3rd Minecraft Event Set For Orlando, Florida

Mojang, the developer of the famous adventure, block-placing, and building game, Minecraft, announced that Minecon 2013 is going to happen in Orlando, Florida.

Watch the video below to see how the people from Mojang, the indie developer of the hit sandbox game, Minecraft, interestingly and amusingly came up with the location for Minecraft 2013. Just a warning though: a globe is harmed during the filming.

According to Escapist Magazine, the open-world game, Mineraft, has a huge international fanbase so wherever they decided to hold the event,, there are some people that would be left out. The post says, "In an effort to make the covention as accessible as possible the firm has been hosting the thing in various locations around the world."

The first all-thing Minecraft event happened in 2011 in Minecon, Las Vegas while Minecon 2012 was held in Paris, France, specifically in Disney Land Paris. And as the sword from the video appointed, Minecon 2013 will be held in Orlando, Florida. Remarkably, this city is the home of Disney World and Universal Studios.

According to Gamespot, previous Minecon event features keynote speeches, costume contests, classes about Minecraft topics and build contests. Fans can expect the same or even more on the upcoming Minecon 2013.

Minecraft sales are currently doing very well creating milestones every now and then. Reportedly, Minecraft has already sold more than 11 million copies for PC, Mac and Linux.

Furthermore, Mojang and 4J Studios revealed that more than 7 million copies of Minecraft were sold already on the Xbox Live Arcade, as reported by IGN. Also, Minecraft is still one of the Xbox Live Arcade's best-seller's list, remaining in second place after another recent hit game, State of Decay.

Minecon 2013 is going to happen November 2-3 in Orlando, Florida and ticket sales for gamer's highly anticipated event will begin this July.
