Legend Of Korra Comic-Con Panel Update: Nickelodeon Promises New Artwork And Sneak Peeks, But Season 2 Release Date Still In Question

Fans of "Legend of Korra" will get sneak peek of season two, titled Book 2: Spirits, at this year's San Diego Comic-Con, but based on the panel description, the question of release date might not be addressed after all.

According to ksitetv.com, "Legend of Korra" will be amongst the likes of "The Big Bang Theory," "Falling Skies," "The Walking Dead," and "Adventure Time" to host a panel in Ballroom 20 in San Diego.

"Executive producer and creator team Bryan Konietzko and Michael DiMartino ('Avatar: The Last Airbender') and co-executive producer Joaquim Dos Santos ('Avatar: The Last Airbender') discuss what's in store for the highly anticipated Book 2: Spirits," says the official description of the Comic-Con panel, titled "Nickelodeon's 'The Legend of Korra' Returns!"

"The mind-bending panel will be full of never-before-seen artwork and the ultimate of sneak peeks. You'll also get to hear from your favorite characters, as talented voice actors Janet Varney (voice of Korra), David Faustino (voice of Mako), and P. J. Byrne (voice of Bolin) share their experiences working on the series. Moderated by Bryan Konietzko."

This is exciting, but also to be expected. But it leaves the burning question a release date for season two left in the air.

As previously reported, Book 2: Spirits recently appeared on Canada's YTV lineup for the fall, leading many to believe that an American release date is not far on the horizon.

However, Avatarthelastairbenderonline.com noted that while it is definitely premiering in the fall, an exact date was not given, and the fall season could mean anytime from August to November.

With the recent release of the interactive book and a host of new information, the "Legend of Korra" panel will most likely disappoint fans if the release date is not announced at Comic-Con.
