Baek Ji Young left the hospital this week after suffering a miscarriage on June 27.

The 37-year-old singer will be recuperating from home, a spokesperson for the singer's record label WS Entertainment told the Korean Star Daily on Thursday. 

"Baek Ji Young has gotten better, and was discharged from hospital a few days earlier to continue her recuperation at home," said the label representative.

"As per the doctor's advice, she is currently working hard in exercising to speed up her recovery. Compared to her body, Baek Ji Young is more distraught mentally, and this is something that she has to overcome herself."

An anonymous source close to the singer brushed off the idea of Baek resuming her performance schedule anytime soon.

"The most important thing at the moment is her health, her schedules can wait," the source said.

A representative for Baek painted a more optimistic picture of how the star was doing to the website Soompi.

"[Baek Ji Young] is currently resting at the couple's new home. She's in a better condition than before," said the singer's representative.

But the rep agreed that it would take some time before Baek is in the proper condition to resume performing.

"Baek Ji Young will not have any schedules for the time being to make sure that she safely recovers," the rep said.

"Even though husband Jung Suk Won is busy filming for his movie, her parents make frequent visits and looks after Baek Ji Young in their spare time."

The singer was reportedly in the fifth month of her pregnancy when she suffered the miscarriage. Her and her husband, 28-year-old actor Jung Seok Won, were married on June 1.

Back in May, when Baek announced she was pregnant, she took extra care to make sure that her fame didn't affect the health of her unborn child a WS Entertainment spokesperson told the Chosun Ilbo.

"Baek Ji-young, is expecting a baby in fall," the spokesperson said back in May.

"As Baek is now in the early stages of pregnancy, she is being very careful about taking care of her health and making quiet trips to hospital [to avoid the media and fans]."

At the couples wedding, Jung had expressed the couple's desire to have several children.

"Baek Ji Young and I both come from families of three children, so we're also thinking about having three children of our own," he said.
