As a Korean, I can always tell right off the bat if a fellow is Korean or not. But once in awhile someone comes along that completely stumps me. There's a few folks in K-pop who had me researching on Google on whether or not they were Korean or not and here they are:

SHINee's Minho does not look Korean to me at all! When the group first debuted, I wanted to immediately know who the Chinese member of the group was. How wrong I was! Something about his look makes him look more like a Chinese idol than a Korean one. Perhaps it's his eyes and nose-shape but Minho had me all kinds of confused when he first debuted!

KARA's Park Gyuri is Korean? Imagine my shock when I found out that she indeed was Korean and not Japanese. Her eyes and nose shape completely threw me off and I was 100% convinced she was a Japanese beauty recruited to join Kara. Am I the only person who thinks this?

Super Junior's Heechul could be Japanese or Chinese any day of the week, but Korean? I don't see it! Even when fluent Korean comes out of this boy's mouth, I'm still convinced he's not Korean because there's no spec of Korean physical feature on this man's face!

Kara's Goo Hara is Japanese, and don't believe anything else. This girl has those huge Japanese circle lens eyes and could easily pass for a Japanese beauty.

JYJ JaeJoong is not Korean, nor is he any other Asian ethnicity. He is an Anime prince, picked out from a manga and magically turned into a human being. I mean come on. How is this man's face a human face? He is an Anime god reincarnated into a K-pop idol. Fight with me all you want, but I know his secret.
